Learn
about our Team in Training Fundraiser offer for new patients

"Before
trying chiropractic care, I was extremely skeptical. I thought
chiropractors were bordering on being quacks...This was
my first experience receiving chiropractic care at the time
of injury. I am still amazed at the results! There was dramatic
improvement in 1 day! With no chiropractic care it took
me 2-3 months to feel back to normal. With Dr. Krohse's
care I felt better than normal in just under a week. Phenomenal!
I can hardly believe I am the one saying how great chiropractic
care is."

At Compass
Chiropractic, we'd like you to feel comfortable coming in for care
by giving you clear expectations for your first visit. Before you
even arrive at our office, there are some things that you should do.
If
you have been in an auto accident or a
work injury bring copies
of any paperwork you have filled out along with any other information
you have in regard to those accidents. If you've had X-rays or other
imaging done at another health facility, talk with our office prior
to coming to your first visit to find out whether you should obtain
those images and bring them in. With respect for your busy schedule,
we have provided our new patient paperwork linked above, so that
you can get a head start filling that out before you even arrive
at our office.
You can expect
your first visit to last approximately one hour. Your spouse and
children are welcome to accompany you on your first visit if you'd
like. When you arrive at Compass Chiropractic, you will be greeted
warmly and guided through any additional paperwork needed. Our children's
books and toys will keep your little ones occupied in the reception
area while you work on that.
After completing
your paperwork, you will be guided to the exam room, where Dr. Krohse
will arrive shortly. A thorough history will be obtained and an
exam including chiropractic, orthopedic, and neurologic tests will
be performed. Functional tests including range of motion and muscle
testing will also help the doctor better assess your condition.
The doctor will then advise you whether your condition can be helped
by the therapies available at Compass Chiropractic, or whether your
condition requires attention from a medical doctor. X-rays of the
problem areas may be recommended in order
to determine how posture, degeneration, malformation, or injury
is affecting you. Recent X-rays taken by other providers can often
be analyzed by Dr. Krohse rather than taking new ones. After any
needed X-rays
are taken, you will receive your first day treatment as well as be
given any home care recommendations. You will
then be directed to the front desk where you will schedule your report
of findings.
Report
of Findings
On your second visit, Dr. Krohse will present to you what was found
through your history, examination, and X-rays. He will use this
report of findings to give detailed answers to the following three
questions as well as answer any additional questions you may have.
1. What's wrong?
2. How can we treat it?
3. How long do we expect it to take?
Treatment
options will be explained, as well as a recommended course of care.
Time is reserved for you to be treated at the report of findings
visit. A staff member will take the time to make sure you
understand your obligations regarding finances and insurance.
